I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, holding a Master of Social Work, a Master of Arts in Philosophy, and a Bachelor in Psychology. I have comprehensive experience in hospital settings conducting risk assessments for suicide, homicide, and self-harm to determine immediate safety and level of acuity, facilitating therapy for acute psychiatric diagnoses in inpatient units, providing crisis intervention, and addressing complex psychosocial issues including bereavement, domestic violence, and perinatal counselling. My psychotherapeutic approach in private practice is however rooted in a depth-oriented, structural and relational psychoanalysis that engages the full complexity of the unconscious mind and the intricacies of human subjectivity. This framework allows me to work with the nuanced ways in which early experiences, unconscious phantasy, and intersubjective dynamics manifest in the present. I am particularly attuned to the non-verbal, implicit dimensions of communication and the pivotal role of the therapeutic relationship as a site of genuine transformation. My philosophical training, grounded in phenomenology and existentialism, informs a sensibility that is attuned to the textures of lived experience and the fundamental questions of human existence, fostering a clinical space where the patient can encounter the fullness of their own subjective world. In this space, we attend to the repetitions, the contradictions, and the unspoken, working toward a more authentic and integrated sense of being.
